DESCRIPTION
In the First year of University, we had to create a Level which had a 3D section and then later on a 2D puzzle that the player had to solve.
I first started out with making a sketch of the level and what I wanted in the puzzle, the next step was blocking it out so I went with using minecraft to get a sense of scale, finally it was all moved into the engine.
In the 3D section I had moving platforms the player had to jump between so they could progress through the level. Once the player had cleared the first part of the map then went into a 2D section where the camera changed to a top-down view. Here the player had to dodge moving blocks that would kill the player if they were touched by it. This was made in the Unreal game engine and was nominated for the best levels of the year.
